Please come check out our Annual General Meeting on September 22, 2014 at 7pm at Lakeland College, room 1012. Yes, we are doing elections for our board positions, (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations Officer). Please consider whether this is something you are being called to do. If being on the board is not for you, please don't let the elections scare you off. Even if you are nominated, you will have the opportunity to refuse and we will accept your refusal with no questions asked. We look forward to sharing with you what we have done this year, and what we will be doing in the next. These are exciting times for Snowflake House Respite Foundation! Oh, and membership fees will be due for the year, so bring your Loonie! Where else can you join an awesome non-profit like ours for only a buck? See you all on Monday, and bring a friend!
Snowflake House Respite Foundation is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, patient individuals to join our team! Currently we have part-time positions available. These are part-time positions. Hours may fluctuate from week to week. Interested applicants can email their resumes (with available record checks) to [email protected]. Snowflake House Respite Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes that “Everyone is Different and Everyone is Beautiful”. Its mission is to support and strengthen families by providing quality respite care for children and youth with special needs. On Friday, Sept 5, 2014, we had a BBQ at Border City Furniture. They provided all of the food and supplies for us, so everything we made was pure profit. As a result, we raised $405.35! Not only that, but Calvin from Border City Furniture said that they would match our funds, so we actually raised $810.70. Totally amazing!
Thank you to Connie, Lily, and Rebecca for working the bbq, and thanks to our customers who came out to enjoy bbq burgers, smokies, and ribs. I am pretty sure we will be back next summer. This was likely our last fundraiser between now and our 2nd Annual Blue Moon Gala. See details on that soon! |
